The company is a Spanish private enterprise, which is primarily engaged in the manufacture of salted anchovies using traditional methods, to be sold within Spain and for export. The company was established in 1915. It adopted its current name back in 1954, and since then it has focused on manufacturing Anchovy Fillets in Oil, whilst remaining loyal to its essential values and principles of tradition and quality. In the early 90s, the company embarked on a period of significant expansion, increasing its presence in the Spanish market whilst still maintaining its export business. It became the leading Spanish manufacturer of anchovy fillets in oil, registering sales figures that exceeded EUR11 million in 2000. In 2004, the company became part of "Grupo Consorcio". The company's current facilities cover a surface area of around 5,000m2, manufacturing mainly anchovy fillets for all market segments, although its salted anchovy products still have an outstanding reputation. Headquartered in Santona, the company is currently present in countries such as: Canada, Mexico, Chile, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Sweden, Czech Republic, Croatia, Egypt, Israel, Australia, Singapore and Japan.
